In Morocco, expropriation is a procedure that allows the State to take possession of private property for reasons of public utility. This procedure is regulated by law and must be carried out with respect for the rights of property owners.

The State may also exercise seizure of others' property in exceptional cases provided for by law, such as situations of national emergency, national security, or protection of the general interest. These measures must also be regulated by law and respect the rights of property owners.
